Banana A Day - The Fisher King

Terry Gilliam is a master storyteller, who weaves the absurd in with normal life. The Fisher King offers everything that Gilliam usually brings to the table plus the great acting of Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams. The movie is superb because if it was only about Jeff Bridges character it would be a good film, likewise for Robin Williams character. Terry along with Richard LaGRAVENESE (the best thing he has written) take these two characters throw them together and take them on a fantastic voyage through human life. The way that the buildings in New York are shot is done in a way that only Gilliam can do. There is a great supporting role by Michael Jeter and a uncredited cameo by Tom Waits where he dispenses wisdom like only Waits can.
