Banana a Day - Black Irish

Throughout this film we see every trial imaginable happen to the McKay family, so many that the film should come off as ridiculous, but surprisingly it does not. Teen Pregnancy, Disease, and arrests all happen to this one family, but not once did I not believe the film. All the actors especially the great Michael Angarano and Brendan Gleeson give very serious performances and it makes this film heartbreakingly real. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by an issue dealt with in this film and that gives it a universal appeal. The film was released in 2006 to some festivals and it was released on DVD in 2008. I was given this disc a couple weeks ago and I wish I had of known about it sooner
