Box Office Review - The Final Destination

There isn’t much to say about this film, or the series for that matter. Each of the four movies have basically the same plot. Take a slasher movie, leave in all of the creative death scenes, cut out the villain, cut out the story, add psychic visions so that all the deaths scenes can be repeated multiple times, and that is your movie. Maybe if the death scenes were interesting or looked somewhat real I could enjoy myself, but I find no enjoyment in this series. The newest instalment named The Final Destination (Interesting that it took three movies to finally reach the actual destination) has terrible special effects and is just boring to watch. If there is going to be a death scene use real blood instead of the computer generated blood. CG blood never looks good and it is not that difficult to get or make fake blood. So what if there is clean up time between takes. It is worth the time spent. Any try at creating suspense was such a lacklustre attempt that it didn’t even seem worth the effort. It is a waste of time to criticize this film anymore. If you like the other films, this is practically the same movie.
